Wholesome Content On Joe Biden’s Dogs Instagram And Twitter Accounts

People are excited about the president-elect’s dogs. They are both German Shepherds, Major and Champ.

Champ came from the reference to Joe’s father saying, “Get up, champ.” Major made history by being the first dog rescued from a shelter that will live in the White House.

The two dogs now have Instagram and Twitter accounts. The dog language used for their captions is interesting.

Former President Trump had no dogs. Though he said he did not own one because he was too occupied with work. He also thought it would look phony.

He could not picture himself walking a dog anywhere near the White House, as he informed the Washington post. The last president who did not own a dog before him was William McKinley. He was in office from 1897 to 1901 when he was assassinated. However, he had cats, roosters, and a parrot.

1.8 million people at least got excited when Biden tweeted about getting dogs in the White again on November 1st. Most past presidents kept them.

But they also kept other pets. Thomas Jefferson had two grizzly bear cubs, Teddy Roosevelt, a rooster, Calvin Coolidge owned a bobcat, and John F. Kennedy had ponies. Most American presidents had pets.
