Charity Shuts Down Racists Who Posted Derogatory Remarks on a Little Sick Black Girl

Miniature horses are cute, gentle animals loved by all. Little girls are adorable.

It was therefore the shock of the century when the Gentle Carousel, a charity, had to shut down racists critical of a picture of a sick little black girl standing next to a miniature horse. They posted the photo on their page on 9th June 2020. They also shut off those that commented on the mask worn as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

The charity sets visits to sick children made by their trained miniature horses, to brighten their day. The Education Director of the Charity said they had never had to deal with racism before. Many people responded positively to the photo.

The fourteen-year-old therapy horse, Sparkle, works in various places mentoring programs, libraries, schools, hospitals, among others. The horse works two days a week. Gentle Carousel has more therapy horses (twenty-one) in the US. They are trained for two years in the hospital. They work with physical therapists and other medical personnel who treat people that suffer from fatal conditions and traumatic injuries.

The therapy horses also visit veterans. Magic is another popular therapy horse that helped those who were affected at the Elementary School of Sandy Hook and the Pulse nightclub. The Charity relies on donations and gives their services for free.
