It is very apparent in the comparison that UK products, even though branded the same, are much healthier than their US counterparts.

Hari shared that the UK is very precautious when it comes to additives in food but the US are risk-takers such that they do not remove these ingredients until proven dangerous through scientific research.

In Hari’s book Feeding You Lies, she shared that the US spends 2.5x in health care more than any other country in the world, 2/3 of Americans are obese as well as over 18% of kids.

Food Babe is a famous food critic in the industry with 104k Twitter fans, 283k Instagram followers, and 1.2M Facebook supporters. She is also very influential as she stopped Kraft from adding artificial color in its mac and cheese and Subway from using azodicarbonamide in its bread. She is currently working on a plight against Kellogg’s Cereal that has just come out that features Baby Shark because of its artificial flavors, colors, and BHT.
